Not Just a Title. A Calling: From CCDI Forest Guards to Caraga’s DENROs
In Caraga, a new generation is answering the call to protect the forest.

Last October 23, 2025, selected forest guards from CCDI began their orientation and training at the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Nasipit, the first step toward their deputation as Deputy Environment and Natural Resources Officers (DENROs). Soon, they will be well-prepared to lead local efforts in forest protection.
That same day, the Forestry team sat down with LGU Nasipit at the Montinola Information Center to build stronger coordination ties. The following day, October 24, the conversation continued with LGU Buenavista at the Municipal Hall, proof that protecting forests takes shared hands and united hearts.

Each effort taken by the soon-to-be DENROs form part of one bigger promise: that Caraga’s forests will never be left unguarded.
