Blue Acres Founders Visit CADT 252 to Explore Sustainable Agriculture Collaboration
On November 5, 2025, Project Caraga welcomed Blue Acres Founders Ng Boon Ching and Ke Boon Hian to visit partner Indigenous communities in CADT 252, Agusan del Norte. The visit marked an important step in strengthening collaboration between Project Caraga and Blue Acres as both teams work toward expanding sustainable, community-led development efforts in the region.
The delegation visited the municipalities of Buenavista and Nasipit, where they observed ongoing livelihood activities and engaged in discussions with local community members. This chance provided an opportunity to explore potential strategies for enhancing sustainable agriculture initiatives, including value-adding, market access improvement, and approaches to scaling their agricultural production. Insights shared during the engagement helped identify areas where technical support and innovation can reinforce the long-term resilience of IP livelihoods.
Following the visit, Ng Boon Ching expressed appreciation for the team’s preparation and the insights gained during the two-day field engagement.
“Thank you all for the planning and the last two days of showing us around CADT and the market product research. The trip has been very fruitful, and we learned a ton,” she said.
The exchange underscored Blue Acres’ strong interest in continued collaboration with Project Caraga and our partner communities.
