In a courtesy meeting with LGU Alegria last November 17, 2025, DCEO Anselmo Cabrera, together with the Project Caraga Group Inc. (PCGI) team, formally presented Project Caraga's comprehensive nature-based solutions framework. The discussion highlighted the organization’s integrated approach to environmental conservation, sustainable development, and community resilience, emphasizing how strategic interventions can support both ecological preservation and the well-being of Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

During the presentation, the team underscored the pivotal role of IP forest guards, coordinators, and local leaders in driving conservation and carbon initiatives. Project Caraga also showcased ongoing programs across health, education, livelihood, and environmental stewardship. These initiatives are designed to strengthen IP capacities, promote sustainable practices, and empower communities to adapt effectively to climate-related challenges while preserving cultural heritage.

The meeting reaffirmed Project Caraga’s commitment to close collaboration with LGU Alegria in safeguarding natural resources, protecting biodiversity, and promoting climate-aligned, culturally grounded development. Both parties expressed shared interest in further enhancing community-based programs that integrate environmental protection with socio-economic growth, reinforcing the vision of resilient and empowered local communities.
